RPG IMPROV 2 (6-Week Online Class) "Shadow and Light"
RPG IMPROV 2 (6-Week Online Class) "Shadow and Light"
Level two of RPG Improv builds on the skills of level one and drills deeper into each element.
Level 2: “Shadow and Light”
Dave and Douglas are back with the “next level” of improv for RPG players! Building on the tools, strategies, and philosophy of Level 1, you will learn how to start looking around the corners of how you play in world and in character so that you can shine a light on the shadows and play with more confidence and purpose! Together we will get you the reps and confidence you need to achieve every gamers goal: to take great turns!
Using exercises and real game scenarios, we will explore:
Letting the truth of your character guide you. Leaning into who they are at their core and letting it guide your choices, whatever the situation they find themselves in.
Infusing earnest emotionality into PC and NPC moments alike.
Tools for DM’s to work on setting a tone; from the smallest moment to the full one-shot or campaign.
Opportunities for DM’s to try setting and playing a scene with single and multiple characters
In-game play and in-scene play.
Taking a great turn for Players and G/DM's
The goal of Level 2 is to take the skills and perspective that were gained in Level 1 and unlock new depth and playability from them.
Once again, while we will aim to have a lot of fun together, this is not a comedy class. It is a class devoted to improving your skills and experience as players and DMs.
Let’s look around some corners together and see what we find!
